Yes. Austin Energy credits solar customers under its Value of Solar program: every kilowatt-hour your system produces is credited on your bill at Austin Energy's current Value of Solar rate. Homes outside Austin Energy's service area are credited according to their own electric provider's plan, and we'll help you find the best option for your address.

Yes. Austin Energy currently offers a $2,500 rebate for residential solar. To qualify, the system must be at least 3 kW-dc, it must be installed by a participating contractor, and the rebate must be approved before installation begins. Leased systems and power purchase agreements (PPAs) aren't eligible.
